01 — About
I'm Yawan Sinjali Magar, known as Yawanjung — a self-taught, independent developer from Nepal. My interest in programming started after playing audio games and wondering how they were actually made. That curiosity led me to Python, and from there into web development, software, Android apps, and game development.
I didn't have a personal mentor guiding me through it. I learned largely through self-study, experimentation, documentation, online resources, and modern AI-assisted learning — and it wasn't always easy. I now have a solid grasp of programming fundamentals and practical Python, including Object-Oriented Programming, while I keep working on more advanced concepts.
I don't present myself as someone who has mastered everything. My focus is continuous improvement — becoming better than I was yesterday, adapting to new tools, and turning ideas into things that actually work.
— Approach
It evolves with time. Understanding technology isn't about learning one fixed method and staying there forever — it takes continuously adapting, experimenting, and upgrading the way you work. I try to judge technology by the problems it solves and the value it provides, not by how advanced or impressive it looks.
My approach is problem first, technology second: understand the problem, think about what would actually help, then choose the tool that fits — rather than picking a technology and looking for somewhere to use it. Even a small, repeated annoyance is a problem worth solving, which is part of why ZenTools exists.
— Accessibility
I'm blind myself, and that experience strongly shapes how I think about technology. I believe technology should be usable by everyone, and that accessibility should be considered from the start of development — not added at the end as a checkbox. Technology should make possibilities wider, not narrower.
This thinking runs through projects like A Separate World, an audio-first game built with blind and low-vision players in mind, and shows up in the accessibility floor kept across this site itself.

— AI-Assisted Development
I use modern AI tools throughout my workflow — for learning, research, problem solving, project planning, prototyping, coding, understanding unfamiliar code, debugging, testing, and documentation. It's a normal, honest part of how I build things today.
But AI doesn't independently create or manage my projects. The ideas, direction, decisions, testing, and final purpose of everything I build come from me — AI just helps me get there faster and learn along the way.
03 — Featured Projects
Live / Continuously Improving
A free, privacy-focused digital toolkit from Jay Nepal IT — 15+ everyday tools like currency exchange, financial calculators, unit conversion, text tools, password generation, and image optimization in one place. No sign-up, browser-based, client-side where possible.
Working Version / Active Development
An Android file management app focused on making file management easier while improving privacy and security — file scanning, favorites, recycle bin, photo/video/music viewing, and more. Usable now, still actively developed.
Prototype Development
A 3D audio-based open-world survival multiplayer game, built with NVGT for blind and low-vision players. Set across Nepali-inspired islands and mythology-influenced worlds — exploration, survival, and social systems are in prototype, with more planned.
Planned
A planned digital literary platform connecting Nepali literature, writers, and readers — publishing, discovery, and a space for emerging and overlooked writers, poems, and shorter works, in a language that's often underserved online.
04 — Initiatives
An independent technology initiative I founded — currently just me as founder and developer, not yet a government-registered company. The goal is to grow it into a formally registered Nepali technology company and a recognizable brand focused on practical digital products, accessible solutions, and problems worth solving — not just impressive technology for its own sake.
I currently handle the ideas, planning, development, testing, and maintenance myself, with AI-assisted development as part of the process. I also value collaboration — one person brings one perspective, while working with others brings different ideas and better solutions, and I'm open to that where there's mutual trust.
